Material guide
Functionalized PFPE materials
Compare carboxyl-functionalized PFPE, acyl fluoride, alcohol and diol by chemical identity, grade and documented synthesis or surface uses.
These PFPE materials are distinguished by their chemical functionality. VN-FL-1002 is carboxyl-functionalized PFPE for listed grease-additive and surface-protection uses; VN-FL-1025 is PFPE acyl fluoride with listed intermediate applications.
VN-FL-1026 is PFPE alcohol and VN-FL-1028 is PFPE diol. Both list surfactant synthesis, PFPE acrylate or methacrylate synthesis and fluorinated urethane surface protectants. Their separate grade tables contain different molecular-weight entries.
What to check when selecting
- Start with the required chemical functionality and intended reaction or application, then select a molecular-weight grade.
- Keep the full grade code with the molecular-weight range and any stated measurement conditions.
- Treat a dash in a technical table as missing data; request the needed value and method instead of assuming zero.

Selection questions
Are PFPE alcohol and PFPE diol interchangeable?
VN-FL-1026 and VN-FL-1028 are distinct catalog products with separate grade tables. Shared application labels do not establish equivalent behavior in a reaction or formulation.
What should an enquiry for a synthesis material include?
Provide the model and grade, required functionality, target molecular-weight range and intended synthesis. Request the current TDS and SDS before planning handling or processing.
Discuss your material requirements
Share the product model, application and required properties. Ask for current TDS, SDS and sample information for the grade you are considering.
