Silicone fluids and emulsions

Compare amino silicone fluids, PDMS emulsion and amino silicone emulsion by composition, viscosity, solids and documented applications.

This selection brings together amino silicone fluids VN-SI-1254 and VN-SI-1257, PDMS emulsion VN-SI-1131 and amino silicone emulsion VN-SI-1134. The fluid and emulsion forms have different specifications.

Textile and fiber processing is listed for both amino fluids. VN-SI-1257 also lists rubber applications and low yellowing. VN-SI-1131 is a non-ionic PDMS emulsion with slip and wear-resistance features; VN-SI-1134 lists coating, hair-care, textile and automotive applications.

What to check when selecting

  • First choose the required fluid or emulsion form and check the listed composition and dilution information.
  • Compare viscosity only with its temperature and units; distinguish active content from solid content.
  • Review amine-number units carefully: the two amino-fluid tables use different labels, so confirm the test basis before comparison.

Selection questions

Which product lists water as a suitable diluent?

The VN-SI-1131 technical table lists water as the suitable diluent. Confirm the dilution method and stability under your intended process conditions.

Can a fluid replace an emulsion at the same dosage?

The available data do not establish an equal-dose substitution. Compare composition, active or solid content, and formulation compatibility before testing a replacement.
